Too much junk in the trunk?

This week and last I have been riding the Synapse to work and this week especially I have been climbing Castle Hill and of course stopping at the top to take some pictures.  That is where the new masthead comes from, Tuesday's commute and the picture above is the result of a Instagram Post where I blew the picture up.  The original was a lot darker but getting home I lightened it up and this is what I got.

For the past two weeks I have been riding the Synapse exclusively for commuting and my weekend rides.  It's such an awesome bike that I totally love riding it.  I have some self imposed limitations, namely I won't ride it on dirt roads which means I can't ride out of the Housatonic Valley via Pond Brook Road and I won't ride down Tamarack Rd on my long distance commute either.  Just means more climbing and more riding, both of which I really enjoy.

I put on this huge seat bag that I have had for years and it's great because it fits my hand pump, two tubes, levers, and a multi tool and still has plenty of room for more stuff.  The other thing I like about it is my blinking sits nicely on it.  The only drawback is it's freaking hug and my legs actually hit the edges.  I am going to continue riding with it until I can find some other solution.

Before
I made one slight modification to the Synapse, I inverted the stem.  Every time I got the bike it felt that the bars were too high so I flipped the stem and it feels so much more comfortable now.

After
Today, I broke 1000 miles!
