Here is the proposed ride route for Summer Fest 2007. The Danbury EMS is holding an outdoors activity event on Sunday and has NEMBA to give a presentation on our Trail Ambassador Program and then lead a ride for two hours. So, I thought I was retrace some of my track from the Trailboss Training Ride from last month and then check out some these old woods roads in Southern Danbury that appear on the Ives Trail map, and then ride a section of the Ives Trail from Terre Haute back to Tarrywile. Ought to be interesting!

Didn't have the Edge
Woke up this morning around 6:00 AM and decided to go for work out ride on the Fixation. Got suited up, turned on the Edge and no workey! WTF? Hopped on the puter and Googled some remedies and still nada. Curses! Decided to ride with eXplorist. Good ride, in on the horse trails in the northern part of town. Some parts are still really muddy, though. Need to think about either some rerouting or some armoring in certain parts.
After I got back, washed the Fetish (it was covered in mud and leaves), surfed for some more solutions and found one that worked! Hold the Mode and Reset key down and it came on!

Back to Middlebury
Took Elliot to Middlebury with the intention of riding the whole route and that we did but it wasn't without incident. While driving up Rt 188 it started to rain. It looked like a passing shower so we waited it out.
Rode to Lake Quasipaug and on the way back had my first experience climbing with the 16t cog in the rear. It was tough but I didn't have to walk. Of course it would be even easier if I weren't pulling an additional 50 to 60 lbs.
Got all the way down to the other end when I had to stop suddenly to avoid the possibility of crashing into a pole in the middle of the trail to prevent motorized vehicles. It's alway a tight fit pulling the Burley. In doing so, the weight of the trailer pushed my rear axel out of alignment causing me to come to a sudden halt. As it started to rain, I had to take the rear wheel off, loosen the brake slider and remount everything. Fun!
Sorry, no pictures but here is the ride route that I uploaded on a site called MTBGuru. Had to crop it down so that it would fit nicely on the blog.
