Ann & I headed south today on a quasi recovery ride after yesterday's ride out to South Hero Island. Fall foliage was in full swing this weekend. In the picture above you can see Pico Mountain on the left and Killington Mountain on the right. This is Ann's first road ride in Rutland and my second. I wanted to explore the roads south of Rutland towards Clarendon and Wallingford.
We rode out on Creek Road towards Wallingford which is really flat and barely any cars.
There is this interesting dome like mountain south of Bald Mountain called Round Hill. There appears to be some sort of tower on top, probably for the airport that is over that way.

There were some cows along Creek Road.
In Clarendon we were treated to some Black Butter.
The weather appeared to be changing on us.
Hortonville Road is on the right - a Class 4/Primitive Road that I have to try sometime.
Great foliage
and this barn is amazing.
Crows are really digging the corn.
On Middle Road we found some creative Halloween Decor.
There was one punchy hill that Ann wasn't too happy about.
I stopped at the rail road crossing to wait for her
and foamed a little.
The ride back to the house had some rollers in it and more colorful fall foliage.
