First e-Bike Commute

  Oct 18, 2024

I picked the perfect morning for my first commute to work on the Wabash. Since Ann was coming down this weekend I decided to ride on a Friday.  It was chilly but there wasn't a cloud in the sky and I took the most direct route to the office to see how fast it would be, which took me along the Saugatuck Reservoir and down into the Fred Zone. I didn't see any other cyclists so technically it was a Ghost Ride but since I was on an e-Bike, does it really count?

At first blush, I wasn't liking the tires and the crank arm length could be a little longer.

Fall foliage in Connecticut was finally popping.

I got to the office with a little over half a charge, which is what I was hopping for. I brought my charger so that I would have a full battery on the way home, too.

The ride home was a little faster but also a shorter distance. Since it was half day Friday at work and I was leaving early enough I decided to ride up RT 7 to get some Wandrer miles.
