Cow Dung in Carlisle

I started following a route that I created but knew I didn't have enough time to do the whole thing. Heading away from Dickinson College I rode west on Rt 641, Newville Road, and the wind was brutal.

Looking at the route I decided that I would start looking for turn to the south after 8 miles and found one a little after 10 miles. It was nice to know that I would have the wind at my back for the return trip.

The smell of cow manure hung heavy in the air

Getting out of the wind was a welcomed relief

This field must have been freshly fertilized because I was close to gagging as I rode by it

There was one goat farm and now cattle to be seen.
