Snow Day no Snow Ride

We were supposed to have a Nor'easter dump a ton of snow on us today, however we had a few flakes in the morning. Guess there is more to come later in the day.

Since the kids got off early from school I took my neighbor's son, Bucky, out with me to ride the Gussy.  We tried to do this ride two weeks ago but the conditions weren't quite right.  Since then, a few fat bikers have been packing the trail in really good so I figured this would be the best time to get out before the Nor'easter does show up and fills in the trails.

A fat biker, by the name of Jeff, came up on us while I was teaching Bucky how to ride up and overs.  He picked it up pretty quickly.

At the Brew Crew Roller, where the tree down blocking it, we met up with Jeff again and a former colleague from GE Capital, Paul, and talked about whether a skinny could be made of the down tree but it doesn't really look like it.

On the jeep trail a bypass around the mud bog has formed and it seems where everyone is riding is still kind of wet so I armored the start of it.

It could probably use a few more flatties but there are no good rock stores nearby and walking off trail with my ankle was not smart. It rides nicely but needs a bit more work.
