On yesterday's ride I noticed there is was a lakeside eatery called the Baited Hook so I came back today at lunch to have ice cream.
I headed down to Greensborough Road from the hotel and started climbing to Etna and started climbing. I knew there was some climbing on this route when I mapped it out but I didn't realize it was going to be a such a big climb. I never really look at the hills because that's the part of the fun and challenge of these rides.
It was a climb, that's for sure. 6 mile, Cat 3 climb with a few steep ramps thrown in for good measure.
There's always interesting stuff to see along the way and I find it's easier to take in your surrounding when you are climbing as opposed to descending.
You never know what you will find along the way.
I think I called this shop when I was looking to get my spoke replaced last spring but they never got back to me.
I love the cup size names and they seem to be indicative to the size of what each of these animals leaves behind.
Instead of riding the Rail Trail, I took Mill Road, which parallel's the trail. It was gravel but I knew the Waltly could handle it.
