Elliot and I headed over to Carmel, NY to ride the Old Putnam Division of the New York Central Railroad, what was called the Old Put back, way back, in the day. It's now a 50+ mile rail trail that runs from Southeast, NY to past Whiteplains.
It actually started to rain on the West Side of Carmel where I wanted to start and I forgot to bring jackets so we started riding on the other side where it wasn't raining.
This section, Carmel to Southeast was a little challenging because there were some hills.
But he had no trouble on them
While it threatened to rain we never got any the whole time.
This section has only been open a year or two and it looks like it might go the way to Brewster eventually!
Elliot tried to whistle at this whistle post
Turning around we headed back to the car and on to our next adventure/reward, Friendlies!
