I headed back to Rutland, early on Wednesday, because we had two cars at Ann's hotel and I wanted to ride some more dirt roads in Rutland. I had a half day at work so I rode up to Quarterline Road again and this time decided to ride the dirt roads south of here in a place called Tinmouth, pronounced Tin-mith.
What I love most about Quarterline Road is the Money Shot view of the Taconic Mountains looking south.
It also reminds me of the Sound of Music.
There's a cool, old school house at the end of Quarterline Rd in the Chipendale section of Clarendon, VT.
After a short climb up Walker Mountain Road I turned onto East Tinmouth Road
and the start of a formidable climb.
In fact, riding south through this valley is like one big Money Shot.
The views are endless.
and there's quite a bit of climbing.
and the only thing in Tinmouth is this Roadhouse.
Heading back to Rutland I got this great shot of Green Mountains blanketed in snow.
And of course there's Killington.
With sun down it got really cold really quickly. Heading down Walker Mountain Road made it a lot colder, too.
So rather than ride Creek Road, I headed over to Middle Road to get some climbing in. There was some leftover Halloween decor.
