Since it was the week of Thanksgiving it was a work from home week so I brought Special-Ed with me to Leb and at lunch time on Monday went for a mountain bike ride.
Apparently, this is a popular trail system in the area as seen by all the cars at the trailhead.
It's managed by UVMBA, Upper Valley Mountain Bike Association, a chapter of VMBA, Vermont Mountain Biking Association. Interesting that it's New Hampshire trail system but it's not under the NEMBA, New England Mountain Biking Association.
If memory serves, when I was involved with NEMBA, there weren't any chapters at the time but then they started popping up. It seems this part of New Hampshire doesn't have any NEMBA chapters.
Fortunately for me, there was a trail head very close to the hotel
and the trails weren't as groomed as what you would find at Pine Hill Park in Rutland.
In fact, the trails reminded me a lot of riding in Connecticut.
If it wasn't for Trail Forks I would have surely gotten lost.
Since it was still technically hunting season I wore orange.
I do appreciate how they don't leaf blow their trails. This was an exploratory ride and I can't wait to ride more here but that is going to have to wait because ski season is starting go full swing and that's going to impact any outdoor riding.
