RC Ilumenati's Winter Solstice Ride

My final ride of 2024 was with Riding Club Ilumenati's Winter Solstice and Ugly Sweater Ride. The ride started promptly at 7:00 PM  from the Fairfield Metro North Station with the intention of riding north to decorate a Christmas tree at the corner of Staples and Silver Hill Roads.

We rode past a plethora of Christmas decorations

and our path was well lit with everyone's head and handlebar lights.

Unfortunately, there was a mechanical along the way.

Then we were rolling along through a favorite haunts

and by our Easton Starting Point.

At Greisers we turned north again on CT 136

At the corner of Staples and Silver Hill Road we stopped to decorate the tree

with our own stylized ornament.

Nothing beats bar mitts on a cold winter's night of cycling.

Then we were heading south back to Fairfield.

And then we got back to the starting point.

We finished the event with pizzas at Colony.
