After our trip to Jackson Hole, Ann wasn't feeling well so I went Tele skiing at Killington in the morning and in the afternoon decided to ride up to Shrewsbury, VT.
Saint Patrick's Day was in full swing at the Mountain
and it was full on spring skiing.
It was warm enough that I had a couple of layers and no jacket
and I wore my green ski pants for the occasion.
Après ski, I headed out on the Waltly towards Shrewsbury on Stratton Road
It's a big, long climb.
I went out wearing a base layer and long sleeve jersey, however, I learned that these river valleys have their own climate and while it was nice and warm in Rutland, riding up through this valley was a lot colder than I anticipated. Fortunately, since I was climbing I was able to keep warm but thinking about the ride back and being down hill, it gave me the chills thinking about how cold it could get.
Made it to Shrewsbury and I was feeling pretty good.

Good to know there is a market up here the next time I ride up this way.

I was JRA on Creek Road and I heard a ping from my bike. Broke another spoke!
Second busted spoke on this wheelset with 5,000+ miles on them - time for a new wheel?
