Thankful, Blessed and Grateful

I took two days off from riding for Christmas and then Sunday, went out on the singlespeed for a 30 mile ride on wet roads. I was a bit overdressed and by the time I was 15 miles into the ride I was sweating.

However, that didn't last long, because even though the sun eventually came out, there was a wind coming down from the north that cooled things off pretty quickly and I was thankful for the extra layers.

I recently read somewhere that all this warm weather we were having lately was a result of La Nina. I am sure that we'll get some colder weather but it's a blessing this year to have more moderate temperatures for more days to be riding outside.

Christmas day was a big let down as the State's infection rate continued to increase and we decided to pull the the plug on a family get together. Everyone was bummed out about it, even some were angry but in the long run we all grateful to one another for staying safe and healthy.
