The Mary Tyler Moore Show

Two weeks ago RC Illumenati had a Wings and Rings ride in which we were supposed to visit the final resting place of Mary Tyler Moore but we discovered Oak Lawn Cemetery in Fairfield closes at sundown. We got another try this evening when we started our weekly ride from the Westport Observatory and headed over to Little Danbury.

There is room in her plot for another grave and we were wondering if that was reserved for her last husband, Robert Levine.

Of course it was hotter than hell on Wednesday and we were in a cemetery.

We rolled past this inscription that I think has something to do with the 17th Connecticut Volunteer Infantry during the U.S. Civil War

although I can't find any reference to it on the interwebs.

The heat was still stifling even at water's edge

After Little Danbury we headed over to Southport and rode Beachside Road and it's still crappy.

It got full on night by the time we hit Longshore.

After a few beers in the parking lot we headed up to the observatory and saw Saturn and the Ring Nebula through the telescopes.
