Where Eagles Dare: Lunartics last 2022 ride to OOF

The conclusion to another year of riding to Oven's of France amidst the Global Pandemic. With temperatures expected to hit 50 degrees today Marshall and I went with bibshorts, although it never really got above 45.

Besides Marshall, Gavin and Scott joined for today's ride. We met behind the Foundry at 9 AM and headed off on the Trampy Route.

While it was in the 40s in Sandy Hook, the Housatonic River valley is always colder and we were seeing temperatures around 35 degrees.

There were a few Bald Eagles in the vicinity

This one was right over us on River Road

Everyone had to stop and get a picture

The climb up to Sprucebrook Farm got foggy

and the cows were near the road.

It was pretty wet on top of Sprucebrook

In fact it was raining lightly all the way to Ovens of France and back to Sandy Hook.
