Christmas Day Ride with the Cows

I decided a needed a new route that's easy to add or subtract miles depending upon time. So I headed down to Walnut Tree Hill and then over to Glen Road to Rt 34.  From there I road down Oak View to Wasserman Way. Riding this way gives me the option to cut in at Fairfield Hills towards Dog Pound to lessen the climb.

My new route takes me by Hawley Pond and the town Christmas Tree and holiday lawn ornaments.

Then I turned left on Rt 302 and headed towards Ferris Acres but instead I turned onto Sugar Lane to get my cow fix

A much nicer road with no cars or trucks.

This sign was next to a Christmas Tree farm but why would you come to get a tree in heels?

Instead getting back on Rt 302 I went up Scudder Hill because why not? Then I rode down Birch Hill and back on Castle Hill which brought me to the most famous view in Newtown.  From here I rode home resulting in a nice 18 mile loop with almost 100 feet per mile of climbing!
