2026 D2R2 Pre Game to Treehouse Brewing

I arrived at the Franklin County Fairgrounds around 1:30 PM, registered, and set up my tent. Will was running late so I went back to the registration shed and bought some T-Shirts. Having the event at the Fairgrounds was a definite plus. The place is pretty much self contained with plenty of camping and RV Sites, chow hall, food venues, showers and bathrooms. Next year, I am bringing the camper and hopefully I can get Ann to come with me.

In keeping with our newly founded D2R2 tradition Will and I rode over to Treehouse Brewing in South Deerfield.

2024 D2R2 Pre-Game ride

 August 16, 2024

Will and I continued our D2R2 Pre-Game ride tradition by riding to Turner’s Falls and stopping at Element Brewing, which is just off the greenway.

2023 D2R2 Pre-Game Ride

I was the first to arrive from the Team Karl's Sausage Kitchen at D2R2 and met up with Zac at the registration tent and invited him to camp with us.  Will arrived after I set up camp and the three of us set off on our annual Pre-Game ride.

2022 D2R2 Pre Game

After checking in at the main tent, I got my camping pass and drove over to this year's camp ground where I met Todd. He picked out a good spot although we had to carry our stuff in but it was a lot flatter than there other places. We set up our tents and then had a beer, or two.

Gathering before the big event

When we learned that the organizers of D2R2 (Deerfield Dirt Road Randonee) weren't going to have camping this year due to COVID the Crew decided that we would make our own camping arrangements. We settled on Erving State Park, about 20 miles north of Deerfield.  Rob was already there but had went out with his wife and daughter so while Will and I were setting up the tent the others arrived.  We then went off for a little ride before dinner, not wearing any kit, around the park and on some back roads.
