Sherburne Trails from Base Camp

I had to run an errand up to Killington this morning so I brought my mountain bike to ride the Sherburne Trails, this time from Base Camp. For a blue trail, it was really buff to start, super flowy and some fun features along the way.

The trail pops out on Thundering Brook Road and goes past Kent Pond. The road then goes up a steep incline and I missed the continuation of the trail because I more focused on climbing. I had to turn around and backtrack to find the trail head.

To start, the Betty is bi-directional

then becomes a one way on the east side of the trail system. It had rained last night and into this morning and the trail dried out nicely but there were still a few wet spots.

The west side of the loop was much tougher in places

at one point I lost the trail and then found it again.

It climbed up some nice fern lined singletrack.

There was a casualty from last night's storm.

Rode back past the pond and then back on the single track next to Base Camp.

You don't see a bike wash at the trail head everyday.
