Sunday Morning Ride to OOF

I went out Sunday morning to ride to Ovens of France with Gabby and Marshall, who I haven't see in quite some time. With ski season over and Ann spending weekends in Connecticut I took the opportunity to ride to OOF with the guys. Ann actually went on a solo ride at the same time. I had invited her to join us but she felt she would slow us down and didn't want to ride the distance we normally do.

We did our Hot Dog Route this morning which consists of riding along Lake Zoar and then climbing West Purchase Brook up to see the cows at the top of Spruce Brook.

Sometimes we'll double back and continue up Spruce Brook and come down Constitution Road through the Southbury Training School, aka STS.

Since we had to come down aways to see the cows on Spruce Brook we just continued down the hill.

I was down first while Gavin and Marshall got stuck behind a delivery van actually going the speed limit.

Our route takes up to Hotchkissville and then we come back to Woodbury past a dog grooming place on Bacon Pond Road called the Haute Dog.  The coffee and pastry was once again outstanding at OOF.

Then it was 10 miles back to Sandy Hook which we did pretty quickly.

Since I rode from Ann's house I had a few miles yet to go.
