Tried another loop around Leb for lunch and headed out this time on Greensboro Road, which is a more pleasant way to Etna from the Hotel. I will have to add this to my future routes. However, when I turned onto King Road I got a bit of a surprise.
That is steep and according to RWGPS the max grade on on this road is actually even steeper.
It was a tough slog up the hill and at one point a bike commuter came the other way - this hill is not something I would enjoy commuting on, unless of course I had an eBike.
The view from the top was amazing
Looking due west is none other than the second largest peak in the Green Mountains
Killington Peak
in fact as far as dirt roads go it was pretty smooth.
The ride back to Leb on RT 4 was really straight with a few rollers along the way.
I tried the path over I-89
and then climbed up RT 120.
Midday wasn't too busy.
Back to the office!
