Gravel with the Girlfriend

It was high time we try some gravel roads so I took Ann over to New Milford to try some climbing and real dirt roads. I figured this would be a good time to test ride the new Cross Check and perhaps our relationship because Ann hasn’t done any real climbing yet. This is our 5th cycling date - hope it’s not our last.

We parked at Young's Field and rode up Aspetuck Ridge to Hurd’s Corner. I was anxious about the next climb, a steep one, thinking it might test our budding relationship. Ann climbed it, only putting a foot down once. 

First Dirt was on North Road

and she cleaned the 10%’er after Old Mine. 

Then it was all down hill to the Housatonic River.

River Road was perfect today.
