Climb or Treat

It's Halloween and it's almost 70 degrees! That's crazy and you would be crazy not to be outside this day enjoying this weather.

Scott and I met at our usual meeting spot, a point halfway between our houses and I checked to see if the banana peel was still there and it was.

We headed towards Castle Hill Farm to visit the cows

But they weren't near the fence line

Since we were too early to be trick-or-treating we decided to climb instead.
The first hill was Scudder Road

We worked our way over to Hawleyville

and then climbed up Obtuse Rd

There were some real treats on Obtuse Rocks

I knew the power company dropped the water level at Lake Lillinonah so we rode over to the Newtown Boat Ramp because I wanted to take a picture of my bike so that it would appear underwater on any maps.

This is the second time I have see it this low in 20 years

This looking north towards the Rt 133 Bridge

Looking south towards Pond Brook

Fall color has peaked already
