New Dropper Post Day!

After a few rides and having to periodically stop to change my seat post height either for climbing or descending I decided it was time to add a dropper. I took the bike over to Down Valley Bikes in Rutland. It was a little pricey but it was worth it and they did a great job. Of course it took a bit longer than it would have taken if I had it done in Connecticut but that’s Vermont for you.

Headed out to PHP for a test ride on a crisp October day.

Leaves were just starting to turn. I came across another mountain biker. He introduced himself as Mike and he was from Chittenden. He really liked my set up. Of course, his full susser was really blinged out.

Nice sill

A rock sill is a flat, sheet-like intrusion of igneous rock that forms between existing layers of sedimentary or metamorphic rock, running parallel to them (concordant), unlike a dike that cuts across. Magma forces its way into these weaknesses, cools, and solidifies, creating a tabular body that can be thin or thick, and is often horizontal, though it can be tilted. Sills are significant in geology as they reveal magma behavior and can host valuable ore deposits.

Nice ramp on Svelte Tiger

Still nice out for short sleeves

There’s no need to fear …

Heavy Duty Hippy Stack or a deterrent for hitting this rock?
