Apres Ski with Ned Flanders

Driving down to Rutland I took care of a few things before hopping on the fat bike and riding over to Pine Hill Park.

When I got to the top of Escalator I thought about heading up Svelt Tiger but then I decided to ride to the Crusher.

Fat biking in the snow at Pine Hill ended so abruptly.  Ann and I went to Jackson Hole in early March and when we returned PHP was already closed due to the freeze-thaw brought on by early spring in Rutland.

I did a quick loop through PHP because Down Valley Bikes was holding a Bike Month celebration at Rutland Beer Works at 5 PM.

I love the proximity of Chez Cyclesnack Vermont to PHP. It's almost two miles away and 3/4s of that is on the Rutland Greenway.  Rutland Beer Works is also between the house and PHP so riding back and making a stop makes it all the best.

A lot of people rode to the brewery today including myself

It was a great crowd

I spent most of the time talking and drinking with Bruce.

Afterwards, I had some time to kill so I rode around Granger Street/Forest Street neighborhood and in the cemetery for another 5 miles.

I found the former line of the Clarendon & Pittsford Railroad which is now just a stub-end siding for the Green Mountain Railroad

There were still some tracks in the grass.

There are some remnants on River Road where it looks like there was probably
