The week before the 4th of July was a work from home week for me so I headed up to Hanover to work from Ann’s place and do some riding in whenever I got the chance. I wanted to find a good 25 to 30 mile route that I could head out on if all I had was two hours to ride so this was the first attempt.
I found there are two ways to Etna from Hanover, one starts closer to the hotel on Greensboro Road and the other is on Trescott Road. The latter, which starts more in the center of Hanover is the climby of the two routes, boy what a climb it was - the first climb was a mile long and had an average grade of 7%.
The view from the top of the climb was awesome and looking due south at what could be Mt Sunapee.
Then it was a nice 3 mile descent into Lebanon
Rode around the time town green and then took the Greenway to West Leb
Rode north again along the Connecticut River and then up through Hanover to the Hospital and back to the hotel.
