XC Skiing at Cache Creek

My dad dropped me off at the Cache Creek trail head and I headed up the trail. This time around I brought my XC skis instead of the Backcountry skis because I figured they would do better in the groomed tracks.

My ride couldn't get up the entrance road to Cache Creek today so I had to start from Cedar Lane. 

Fortunately there was plenty of snow and the trek up to the parking lot was smooth.

Two years ago I rode up Cache Creek on a Fat Bike and now I am doing the 4.6 mile climb on my XC skis.

The next part of my fat biking adventure in Jackson was to ride the trails at Cache Creek. I toyed with the idea of riding out to Teton Village but that wouldn't have been half as fun as riding here. The shop that I rented the bike from also highly recommended that I ride there.

I rented a Salsa Mukluk. Really light frame sporting two 4.8 wide tires that had a bouncy feel to it. It was shifting a little wonky and wouldn't hold certain gears but I wasn't going to take it back to the shop and then come back again.
